During training meetings the pc-pool remains closed for individual users.

General description

Departments central pc-pool consits of an air-conditioned, separably room with 25+16 pc-workplaces, one print/backup-server and one laser-printer. Usable operating systems are Windows-XP or Linux. The user-home-devices are located on a central Linux-server (obelix.et.tu-dresden.de).

Before the first use each user must have an individual user-account to request in the room BAR 160 or BAR E64-E66.

The access-control takes places by means of a chipcard which everyone must procure and register itself.

The room is permanent monitored with video cameras.
